Two decades inside hospitality.

I started in hospitality in 1999 and have worked with H&L since 2000. For five of those years I was actually inside the company as an employee, which gave me a rare view of how the software really works. Everything I do now grew out of that grounding: helping venues get the most out of their tech stack, keeping operations going when systems fail, and building reports that turn raw transaction data into decisions owners can act on each day. It all comes back to one thing: helping operators get the information they need to run better and plan further ahead.

Point of Sale is like oxygen. You only realise how important it is when you don't have any.

Today, Rockley Consulting works with restaurants, hotels, bars, and leisure venues across Tasmania and Australia, ranging from independent fine dining rooms to multi-site hospitality groups.

The mission is simple: help business owners and managers get the data they need to make informed decisions. Sometimes that's a one-off custom report. Sometimes it's a full database rebuild or an ongoing technical partnership.

While H&L is my specialism, much of my advisory and hardware work applies to any system. I help venues make better tech decisions regardless of which POS they run.

Why independent?

H&L's own support team is excellent at resolving issues. What they don't do is sit inside your operation, identify problems before they cost you, and help you get more out of the system you've already paid for. That's what I do. I'm not a replacement for their support. I work alongside it, with my focus entirely on your business, not the vendor's.
